The video for ‘Heaven’, Avicii’s collaboration with Chris Martin is out now. Tim and Chris wrote and recorded ‘Heaven’ in 2014 with Tim producing the final version of the track in 2016.
The video for Heaven was directed by Levan Tsikurishvili who had been working with Tim since 2013. During these years, they made eight music videos, three concert movies and two documentaries together.
Following Tim’s final live show in 2016, Tim and his childhood friends Awat, and Levan spent nineteen beautiful days in Il Saint Marie, Madagascar. They spoke about everything, laughed, played monopoly, hung out with lemurs, and explored the entire island together. Two and a half years later, Levan returned to the island to pay tribute to Tim, recreating memories that the friends had shared.
Avicii’s net proceeds from ‘Tim’ will go to the non-profit Tim Bergling Foundation. The foundation benefits organizations that support mental health issues, suicide prevention and education, wildlife conservation and other issues that Bergling had a passion for.
