Line-ups like this don’t come along very often and, to see hip-hop icons Public Enemy and Wu-Tang Clan on the same bill was a dream come true for the Manchester hip-hop fans who poured into Manchester Arena in their thousands for what was a truly historic night. With De La Soul completing the line-up, this was a night Manchester Arena wouldn’t forget in a long time. De La Soul got the place bouncing from the off setting the mood for the evening with their feelgood tunes while the legendary Public Enemy, even without Flava Flav, raised the roof on this venue with simple set up to help them deliver their powerful message.

It was left to the mighty Wu Tang Clan to bring the night to a brilliant climax with an energy-filled performance that brought everything that made not only WTC but hip-hop as a whole, such a mighty musical force and put the icing on a evening that, for hip-hop fans, couldn’t have been any better.
