Last autumn, LION, aka Beth Lowen, released her impressive debut EP on Fiction. Fuelled by her incredibly distinctive vocals – honed from performing at local pubs and venues since the age of 13 – the EP’s stand out track ‘Oh No’ attracted the interest of 6 Music and Radio 1, landing her a Maida Vale session.

Now, having toured the UK as special guest to Nathaniel Rateliff in January, LION returns with the gutsy new single ‘Second Hand’, a rocky, emotional ballad that’s set to be a firm favourite across festival dates this summer. The track marks an evolution in her sound, merging spidery guitar parts with her trademark vocals and anthemic choruses, a sure sign of good things to come as she works on her debut LP.
