Last Friday saw the release of ‘Drama’, a joint single between Mae Muller, Ms Banks and Caitlyn Scarlett released via Capitol Records.

‘Drama’ showcases the three London artists join forces to narrate their personal experiences of refusing to entertain any drama that comes their way. Produced by MOBO award winner Victizzle, ‘Drama’ is a powerful track born out of three incredible female musicians who are all advocates for empowering women. Kicking things off Ms Banks injects her smooth yet confident sound partnered with Caitlyn Scarlett’s dreamy R’n’B tones and finished elegantly with Mae Muller’s distinct velvety vocals.

Speaking about the presence of female solidarity on ‘Drama’ Mae explains “it’s very easy that people would want to pit girls against each other, and it would be very easy for us to all hate each other and be in competition. But we don’t want that, if we all get on and we all support each other then why can’t you accept that. There’s no drama here.”

Ms Banks points out, “I don’t feel we thought oh yeah we have to have this empowerment theme, but it became that because we are all powerful separately you could tell that we are all connected.” Whilst Caitlyn echoes the girl’s thoughts, “All our verses are quite honest, rather than thinking about the impression we wanted to make we just put the best we could in.”
