“After our biggest ever year in 2018, our feeling for 2019 very much centred around this phrase of “More Than A Festival”. We’ve always been challenged by the physical spaces and the infrastructure in Wakefield; we’re not a city setup to host something like Long Division. But we’ve always turned that into a positive, making the festival an unusual but joyfully surprising experience.”
“All In’ is brooding, a darker tone reflects the contemporary anxieties of connecting in an age of digital facades and false truths. The sound is a progression of the band’s voice that is a sign of things to come on their upcoming record.”
“The sound is raw and driving with vocals that can swell from a softer Noel Gallagher to the more shattered growl of Alex Turner or Julian Casablancas. These boys are garage rock through and through…This band rocks live” – Divide and Conquer
‘The kind of dreamy bedroom sound waves that are reminiscent of being folded slow-motion into your duvet. And we’re ready to be coddled for an eternity’ – Wonderland
Initial praise included The Guardian who stated, “The action star’s whiskey-sodden country music set is genuinely poignant,” while Rolling Stone noted his “edgy vocals blended with passion.”
“It was simple, I only wanted to make another album if it was with him’ says Dido. ‘It was made in such an easy way, all the vocals recorded on the sofa, a lot of it recorded at home”.
