There is another fantastic month ahead with the finest selection of music, comedy and entertainment on offer at St Helens Theatre Royal this October.

The UK’s official number one Tina Turner tribute show kicks off the month when Totally Tina returns to Theatre Royal on Wed 3 Oct. A unique celebration of Tina’s live concert career, it powers through all of the biggest hits from the Queen of rock ‘n’ roll.

The music continues on Thu 4 Oct with the sensational tribute to the world’s most successful male artists; Faith – The George Michael Legacy takes audiences on a journey from George’s early years with Wham, and all the way through the hits of his solo career including Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, I’m Your Man, Faith, Outside andCareless Whisper.

Funny man Dave Spikey brings fresh new anecdotes as he looks back over the incredible journey of his 30 years in the comedy business on Fri 5 Oct, in his hilarious new stand-up comedy show Juggling on a Motorbike.

Legendary music group The Drifters are back on Sat 6 Oct with an exciting new show performing all their classic hits from the last six decades including Saturday Night At Movies, Come on Over to My Place, Up On The Roof, Under the Boardwalk, Kissin’ In The Back Row and many more.

Be swept away on a magical adventure when Vienna Festival Ballet present one of the most famous classical ballets of all time – The Nutcracker, on Sun 7 Oct. With its combination of enchanting choreography and unforgettable music, set to Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous score, it tells the story of Clara and her enchanted nutcracker doll.

After last year’s sell-out production of Sister Act, St Helens’ very own Pilkington Musical Theatre Company return with the hilarious, toe-tapping 9-5 The Musical from Thu 11 – Sat 13 Oct. Featuring original numbers from Dolly Parton’s Oscar, Tony and Grammy Award nominated score including Backwoods Barbie, Shine Like the Sun and the original hit song 9 to 5.

Regal Entertainments are back with more family fun this October half-term with the return of their amazing panto Beauty and the Beast, from Sat 20 – Sun 28 Oct. Don’t miss this tale as old as time, starring Channel 5 Milkshake’s Kiera-Nicole Brennan as Belle, who falls in love with the most unexpected of princes who has been cursed to look like a hideous beast.

Be chilled to the bone this Halloween as The Haunting at Greenacre Cottage brings the month’s line-up to a terrifying close on Wed 31 Oct. When couple Mark and Stacey head to a remote cottage, tension builds as they soon realise things aren’t all as they seem. Watch the terror unfold as something sinister clearly does not want them there!

Chantelle Nolan, Theatre Manager said: “We have an eclectic month ahead at St. Helens Theatre Royal with something on offer for everyone to enjoy!

“There is an incredible music line-up with everything from rock ‘n’ roll to soul greats; plenty of returning favourites including Pilkington Musical Theatre company who always put on a tremendous and showstopping production; plus some top family entertainment with Vienna Festival Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and the return of panto favourite, Beauty and The Beast!”
