Josh Widdicombe is going to launch Museum Of Pop Culture, Jan 1st 2026, a brand-new comedy podcast that takes the definitive (or at least funniest) look at the weirdest, wildest and most unbelievable stories from the most important thing in all our lives: pop culture.
Josh is a pop culture obsessive, and he said: “I cannot wait for people to hear this show. Music, television and film is a world of brilliant, mad (and brilliantly mad) geniuses doing incredible things is bizarre ways. These are the most fascinating tales ever told and they’re also very funny. This is my dream show to listen to, but it didn’t exist so I made it.”
In this twice weekly, ‘always on’ podcast, Josh will do for Pop Culture what The Rest is History have done for history and what Uncanny has done for ghosts. To hear the stories Josh will be joined by his best friends in the world (alternately comedians Suzi Ruffell, Matthew Crosby and Tom Craine) to tell them these tales of mad egos, strange geniuses, terrible decisions and fortunes made and lost, with his trademark humour and eye for odd detail.
Join us as we answer:
· Did David Hasselhoff bring down the Berlin Wall?
· Why did the Spice Girls share a house in Maidenhead?
· Is Mr Blobby the most misunderstood entertainer of the 20th Century?
· Why did The KLF burn £1m and are we ok with it?
· Did Michael Parkinson become possessed by a ghost on live TV?
Josh Widdicombe’s previous two podcasts have been megahits, so he is hopeful of the hat trick. Parenting Hell has topped the charts for the last five years with more than 850 million+ downloads and counting and sold out an Arena tour in 2023. Quickly Kevin, Will He Score? took the niche world of 90s football nostalgia and turned it into 35 million+ downloads before a farewell show at a sold-out London Palladium.
Josh Widdicombe’s Museum Of Pop Culture is a Keep It Light Media production and will be available on all podcast platforms from 1 January 2026.
