Durham Brass Festival returns this July with an electrifying programme that showcases the power, versatility and spectacle of brass. From 12-19 July, expect spectacular performances including riotous mash-up kings ELVANA bringing their Elvis-meets-Nirvana show to Durham Gala Theatre with Oompah Brass XXL (12 July); the cinematic sounds of Brass & Pipes pairing Stanhope Silver Band with legendary organist Howard Beaumont on the Mighty Wurlitzer (17 July); and North Shields band Hector Gannet performing new album material with the Durham Miners’ Association Brass Band at Redhills Miners’ Hall (17 July).

The festival also spotlights emerging talent at Brassed On (18 July), a special film and fantasy-inspired concert from EverReady Band inside Durham Cathedral (18 July), and a spectacular closing performance from the world-famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band, known for Brassed Off and major global stages, on 19 July.
