In the Park presents is gearing up for an unforgettable summer as the concert series returns to Newcastle and Liverpool in 2026, with global superstar Lewis Capaldi confirmed to headline. The shows will take place on Wednesday 8th July in Exhibition Park, Newcastle, and Saturday 15th August in Sefton Park, Liverpool, marking Capaldi’s biggest ever outdoor performances in both cities.
The announcement lands fresh off the back of his sold-out 17-date arena tour across the UK and Ireland, his first in two years, which has seen him thrilling fans with a hit-packed setlist and debuting new material that’s earned four- and five-star reviews from critics across the board. It also follows his sixth Number 1 single, with Survive becoming the fastest-selling single of the year to date.
Capaldi’s return to the spotlight has already been marked by major chart success. His comeback single Survive stormed to No.1, becoming the fastest-selling release of 2025 and securing his biggest-ever opening week. In doing so, he claimed his sixth UK No.1, joining the ranks of global icons such as Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Drake and Queen.
