Richard Ashcroft and Blossoms are set to headline Neighbourhood Weekender 2026 which returns to Victoria Park, Warrington following its triumphant comeback in 2025. They will be joined by major acts such as Kaiser Chiefs, The K’s, DMAS, Jamie Webster, Example, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Shed Seven, Cast and many more throughout the much-loved festival on May Bank Holiday weekend 2026. Tickets will be available from Friday 7th November at 9.30am via www.nbhdweekender.com and www.gigsandtours.com.
Returning to the main stage in Warrington for the second time is two-time Ivor Novello Award winner Richard Ashcroft. After embarking upon the biggest stadium tour of the year as special guest to Oasis, Ashcroft went on to immediately sell out Manchester’s Co-op Live. He followed this by announcing seven more arena dates across the UK for 2026. In October 2025, Ashcroft released his highly anticipated new album ‘Lovin’ You’, his seventh solo set. The album opens with its first single ‘Lover’, which received nationwide airplay and sets the standard for a record which finds Richard at the peak of his powers.
His first chapter with The Verve reached a remarkable peak with ‘Urban Hymns’ which is one of the biggest selling albums in UK history with 11 x Platinum certifications. The band achieved a second Number 1 album with ‘Forth’ and won three BRIT Awards. His solo career continued that acclaim with his debut ‘Alone With Everybody’ shooting to Number 1 and all five subsequent studio albums landing in the top five.
Stockport’s Blossoms will make their huge return to the festival and will headline the main stage for Bank Holiday Sunday. The group have recently played their biggest headline gig to date, a sold-out show to 30,000 people at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park and completed a 5-night Manchester live residency. The band released their fifth studio album ‘Gary’ last year which reached Number 1 in the Official UK Albums Chart. Their 2016 debut ‘Blossoms’, including hit single ‘Charlemagne’ topped the album charts for two consecutive weeks and went on to earn the band BRIT Award and Mercury Prize nominations, while 2018’s ‘Cool Like You’ charted at Number 4 in the UK album chart, spawning the anthemic singles ‘I Can’t Stand It’, ‘There’s A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls)’ and ‘How Long Will This Last?’.
Their third studio album, 2020’s ‘Foolish Loving Spaces’ was the band’s second UK Number 1 album, while their fourth studio LP ‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’ gave the band their third UK Number 1 album. Blossoms have had six Top 5 albums in the UK, including their ‘In Isolation/Live From The Plaza Theatre’, Stockport release.
Among those joining Ashcroft and Blossoms are indie legends Kaiser Chiefs, DMAS, Shed Seven, Cast, plus one of the biggest pop artists to emerge in the 2000s Sophie Ellis-Bextor who shot to fame with chart-topping anthem ‘Murder on the Dancefloor’. The festival also welcomes pop royalty Melanie C who since going solo has achieved over 3M album sales and released standout hits such as ‘I Turn to You’.
The Guestlist, Nxdia and The Covasettes will also perform across the weekend, alongside a host of exciting new talent including Luvcat, Fletchr Fletchr and Fiona Lee; and also some familiar favourites like Example, Razorlight, and The Fratellis.
Neighbourhood Weekender is the perfect start to the summer with an incredible weekend of non-stop live music across three stages and much more.
