After a stellar start to 2025, including a raucous sold-out hometown show at Manchester’s Gorilla, rising Mancunian star Alex Spencer has established himself as a true one-to-watch. Following a run of sublime single releases earlier this year, Alex has now announced his new EP Where Do We Go From Here?, which comes June 13th. Available pre-save HERE.

A culmination of years of work, Where Do We Go From Here? marks a turning point for Alex; from a young busker performing on the streets of Manchester, to one of the UK’s hottest new artists with a fast and ever growing fanbase. A record that sees Alex develop both a maturity in his sound and his lyrics, Alex describes it as ‘the transition from youthful idealism into a deeper, sometimes darker, understanding of the world around me.’

With three tracks already released, this transition can be heard in the fabric of the EP, from the wistful timbre of the piano on ‘Clouded Thinking’, the full-bodied rockiness of ‘Wake Me Up’, to the optimistic joy of the acoustic guitar on ‘Bucket List’, it shows the musical exploration of an artist coming into his own.

The title track, ‘Where Do We Go From Here?’, is Alex’s most reflective song to date; weaving electronic synths and fluid downbeats, Alex’s vocals walk the tight-rope between the two. As he explains, it’s a song that conveys how both ‘being scared of the world around me,’ and ‘not wanting to hold back or give up living my life because of these fears’ can coexist simultaneously. In a nod to his Spanish heritage, Alex includes the phrase ‘Ya no temo a la muerte’, which translates to ‘I no longer fear death’, adding a personal and cultural depth to the track. For Alex, fear is not a deterrent, but a fuel.
