Black Dog Moon are a five-piece blues-infused rock band from Ireland, known for their powerful performances and unique sound. Formed in 2020, the band quickly made a name for itself in the local music scene.

To date, they have played all the main rock n blues haunts in Northern Ireland several times now including The Diamond Rock Club Ahoghill, Bangor Rock n Blues, Cookstown Rock n Blues and headlined the main stage on the Saturday night at Hilden Beer and Music Festival at end of August 2025 marking their third appearance at the festival.

The band released the first single taken from their forthcoming new album ‘Hell and Back’ single ‘Neon Queen’ on 16th September 2025 and the track quickly built momentum with extensive global radio airplay.

Black Dog Moon are now inviting people to journey with them with their new album ‘Hell And Back’ which is now due for release on Friday 28th November 2025 just in time for the band’s Planet Rockstock 2025 live appearance on Saturday 29th November 2025.

Speaking about the new album, Conal Montgomery explained: “I am excited for this release, it shows our love and diversity of all types of rock and blues. I think we have come a long way in a short space of time. Our reward is Planet Rockstock, hopefully we can make an impression and find the right contacts to bring the band to the next level. Our goal is to make the scene and have some good support slots and hopefully a tour of UK and Ireland in the not-too-distant future. I hope this record helps someone, lots of emotion in there, happy, sad fun and tragedy but a drive to never give up.”

The album was produced by Steve Fearnley at Narrow Water Studio in Warrenpoint and is the band’s second album. It once again shows the band’s diversity which their first album Black Dog Moon had in abundance. Conal says – “Steve just gets us and we see him as part of us, a very talented and beautiful human being”.

The new album ‘Hell And Back’ will be available on Friday 28th November 2025 on Bandcamp here: https://conalmontgomery.bandcamp.com/

It will also be available online across various platforms including Spotify and Apple Music on the same day.
