Scottish singer-songwriter Blair Davie has today released their latest single Crashing The Car. A soaring, emotionally-charged anthem about surrendering to love. Listen here.

The latest offering from Blair is wonderfully understated, letting the lyrics do most of the work alongside pared-back acoustic guitar strums. Crashing The Car explores the feeling of love as both an exciting rush and a quiet surrender. The song balances uplifting melodies with thoughtful lyrics, reflecting on the beautiful mix of emotions that come with opening your heart. It’s a simple, honest account of what it means to take a chance on love.

Speaking on the new single, Blair explains, “‘Crashing The Car’ is a portrayal of love as both a beautiful thrill and a surrender. It’s about unconditional love and the acceptance of fate. Even if we don’t make it, it’s all worth it.”
Blair continues, “It’s not about the car crashing as such but more that if it did, what a way to go out in the world – next to the person you’ve fallen in love with.”

Crashing The Car follows the previously released Wouldn’t Be Right, an ebullient anthem about finding ways to smile through the toughest of times. And Butterflies, an unflinching ballad touching on the topic of everlasting love. Blair’s most empowered, heartfelt work to date.

Blair Davie’s story is one of perseverance. This young Scottish artist is destined to be one of our most inspiring new stars, who possesses one of those rare voices that has the power to speak to our very souls. The talent on display from Blair has not gone unnoticed, with Blair receiving Amazon Music’s UK Rising Star Award, alongside an Ivor Novello Award nomination, both last year at aged just 23.

Blair has recently been embarking on the Butterflies Tour, their biggest run of shows to date. Performing across the UK, France, The Netherlands, Germany and their native Scotland.
