Scottish singer-songwriter Blair Davie has today released their latest single ‘Wouldn’t Be Right’ a heartfelt anthem via Giant Music. Listen here.

The latest single blends infectious melodies with poignant lyrics, offering listeners a powerful emotional journey. An ebullient anthem about finding ways to smile through the toughest of times, the captivating track seamlessly fuses upbeat and catchy rhythms with deeply moving lyrics as Blair sings “it might not be perfect all of the time, but with any other human, it wouldn’t be right”.

Speaking on the new single, Blair explains, “‘Wouldn’t Be Right’ is the realisation that it doesn’t matter what you have, it’s who you have. I used to dream of the big house on the hill, money in the bank and being able to do the weekly food shop at m&s. Maybe I’ll get there one day but I’ve found someone who makes the smallest moments feel like everything.”

Blair continues, “Movie nights in, homemade pasta bakes and going to free museums for date days. We don’t need lots of money, we don’t need to climb the ladder. I’ve never truly felt like that before. With anyone else it wouldn’t feel so magic. With any other human it wouldn’t be right. It’s always been you.”

Wouldn’t Be Right follows the previously released Butterflies, an unflinching ballad touching on the topic of everlasting love. Butterflies is open, touching and personal – all attributes Blair is quickly becoming beloved for.

After introducing themselves with a flurry of exciting singles, including the highly-praised ‘Stairs’, ‘Platform 10’, and ‘Him, Hymn’, London-based Scottish born and raised singer-songwriter Blair Davie has been tipped as one of the most anticipated new artists on the rise right now. As a seasoned performer who has been writing music and fronting bands since they were a teenager, Blair’s rise can be pinpointed to the strength of their songwriting, which feels more honest than others in their field.
