Acclaimed singer-songwriter Cameron Whitcomb keeps moving forward with the premiere of his latest single, “Kingdom of Fear,” available now via Atlantic Outpost HERE. The high-energy, hard-driving track heralds Whitcomb’s upcoming new EP, Deep Water, arriving everywhere on Friday, April 17. Pre-orders/pre-saves are available now HERE.
“Seems like lately I’ve fallen back in love with songwriting. It’s like having sex with your ex,” shares Cameron. “Something familiar, comfortable, but also refreshing about it. It’s been an incredible time getting to put these ideas that’ve been banging around in my head on paper.”
“Kingdom of Fear” follows the release of his latest single, “You and Me,” . Hailed by Billboard as “an emotional, heartfelt folk-rock song characterized by his soft, weathered vocals and a stomp-clap rhythm,” the track – which sees Whitcomb teaming once again with producer Jack Riley (Knox, Grace VanderWaal) and his frequent songwriting collaborators Cal Shapiro (Alex Warren, Timeflies) and Nolan Sipe (Benson Boone, Alex Warren) – proved Whitcomb’s career third-highest Spotify debut thus far having already become a fan favorite thanks to recent live performances while travelling North America alongside HARDY as special guest on his epic THE COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR!. What’s more, “You and Me” continued Whitcomb’s home country hot streak by instantly debuting on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100.
In a world that often prizes surface-level honesty, Whitcomb stands out as an artist with the courage to confront uncomfortable truths. After leaving home at age 17 to work on a pipeline, the British Columbia native discovered his passion for singing and devoted himself to music. He broke through with his 2024 debut EP, Quitter – a fearless collection of country/folk songs inspired by his journey through addiction and recovery. Since then, the 22-year-old singer-songwriter has skyrocketed, landing on 2025 Artist to Watch lists from Spotify and Amazon Music, releasing his full-length debut, The Hard Way, and traveling the world on increasingly popular tours including his biggest North American headline run thus far, the I’ve Got Options Tour, which saw him packing houses from coast-to-coast including a sold-out two-night stand at Los Angeles, CA’s iconic Troubadour.
