Emotion-fueled rock collective Culture Wars continue their prolific output with “In The Morning,” a groove-rock track that marks a defining moment for the band. The single arrives in the midst of a banner year — one that’s seen them share stages with Keane, Wallows, and LANY, break into the Top 20 at U.S. Alternative Radio with “It Hurts,” surpass 8 million global streams on their breakout single “Typical Ways” – and next week (27th November) will play their first headline date in the UK at o2 Islington Academy. The song dives into that hazy, vulnerable moment of self-reflection — waking up alone, hungover, and wishing someone was there next to you. “It’s that feeling of trying to convince someone (who probably shouldn’t) to come over and make you a little less lonely,” vocalist Alex Dugan explains. “Written as my former self — I’m very happily married now.”
“In The Morning” marks a creative turning point, reshaping how the band approached their next chapter. “The mix and production changed the way we hear the album — it’s now dictating where we’re headed sonically,” they share. Inspired by their show opening for LANY at the Philippine Arena, the band aimed to recreate that massive, cinematic energy in the studio. “I’d definitely call this song a turning point — the new album will follow this sound (and moving forward).” The band’s debut full-length album, titled if not now, when?, will arrive in early 2026.
Anchored by 90s-esque guitar textures and velvety rhythms, “In The Morning” blends grit and groove into something deeply human — raw, reflective, and alive.
With sold-out headline shows in New York City and Los Angeles, and upcoming sold-out dates in London, Chicago, and Houston, Culture Wars are proving themselves as one of alt-rock’s most exciting and ambitious new forces — a band in evolution, and in full command of their moment.
