A brand-new daytime clubbing experience aimed at music lovers over 30 is heading to Stockton this weekend, with final tickets now on sale as demand continues to grow for a fresh way to enjoy a night out – without sacrificing the next day.
Decades Day Disco will take over KU Stockton, Prince Regent Street, Stockton-on-Tees, this Saturday afternoon, delivering three rooms of music celebrating the 70s, 80s and 90s in a high-energy event designed for people who still love to dance – but prefer to be home at a sensible hour.
Running from 3pm until 8pm, the event promises the feel of a full club night packed into an afternoon and early evening, complete with dancers, performers, special guest DJs and immersive décor across KU and The Social Room. Organisers say the event taps into the growing popularity of daytime events for people who want the fun of going out without the late-night fatigue.
The concept is simple: relive the music you grew up with, enjoy the atmosphere of a big night out, and still have your Sunday free.
Event organiser and KU owner Jimmy Beck says the changing nature of nightlife has created demand for something new.
“Going out has changed massively over the years,” he said. “People still love the music and the social side of it, but a lot of us don’t want to be out until three in the morning anymore. Decades gives people the chance to relive those classic nights out without ruining the whole weekend. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic afternoon and it’s great to see so many people excited about something new for Stockton.”
Each room will celebrate a different musical era. The 70s room welcomes The Busstop Show, featuring DJ personality Tony Loveshaft playing classics from Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, ELO and more. Meanwhile, the legendary Club Visage team, Matt Gloss and Timmy Mullet, bring an 80s soundtrack packed with icons such as Bowie, Duran Duran, Wham!, INXS and Depeche Mode. The third space turns up the nostalgia with 90s dance, Britpop and pop anthems from Madonna, Britney Spears, Take That, Spice Girls and more, courtesy of the KU DJ team.
With more than 70% of tickets already sold and early release tiers nearly gone, organisers say remaining tickets are expected to sell quickly. Final release tickets are now available at £15 plus booking fee.
For many, Decades promises to be the perfect mix of nostalgia, live entertainment and dancefloor madness – all wrapped up in a daytime party designed to leave your weekend intact.
