Glaswegian five-piece Del Amitri – famed for worldwide hits like “Nothing Ever Happens”, “Kiss This Thing Goodbye”, “Driving With The Brakes On” and the US top 10 single “Roll To Me” – have confirmed they will make a pair of live appearances in Scotland this Christmas.

The two shows will be the band’s final live shows for a while, as they commence work this autumn on a brand new Del Amitri album, which will see the light of day on Cooking Vinyl in the late Spring.

The band have spent the last few months headlining at various Scottish festivals, where the public’s appetite for their illustrious songbook is undimmed.

The year has also been marked by the writing debut of frontman and principal songwriter Justin Currie; his memoir “The Tremolo Diaries; Life On The Road And Other Diseases” – about touring the world having been diagnosed in 20021 with Parkinson’s Disease – has been rapturously received and reviewed, and entered The Sunday Times Hardback chart last Sunday at No. 4, making Currie officially a best-selling author.

Justin is also currently on a promotional tour in support of the book, and appears next week at;

Sutton Sound Lounge (Monday 15th September),
The RocknRoll Book Club at Walthamstow Trades Hall (Tuesday 16th September),
Resident Brighton (Wednesday 17th September.)

Thereafter, he will also be appearing at Wigtown Festival on September 26th, Wimbledon Book Festival on Monday October 20th, and the Louder Than Words Festival in Manchester on November 15th.
