London-based rising star of indie-rock Dionne returns with her compelling new single ‘Out Of My Mind,’ out now. Listen here
This follows shortly after Dionne has been announced as the opening act for Florence + The Machine in Liverpool, Sheffield, London and Manchester dates of her sold-out The Everybody Scream Tour.
Dionne will also be playing an intimate showcase at Notting Hill Arts Club ahead of her solo arena debut on 11 February, tickets available here.
‘Out Of My Mind’ marks a notable moment in Dionne’s evolving career, presenting audiences with one of her most emotionally resonant and sonically mature releases to date.
Speaking on the single, Dionne says “This song speaks to my inner state. I’m reaching out my hand hoping someone understands and reaches back. I feel there’s a growing sense of disillusion. How did we get to this? Sometimes I feel such concern for humanity.”
An eerie, yet uplifting indie rock track, ‘Out Of My Mind’ explores themes of vulnerability, emotional endurance, and strength required to move on from moments of turmoil. Built on evocative guitar lines, the track captures inner struggle while reaching toward hope. The song acknowledges elements of darkness, yet refuses to be consumed by it. Lines such as “When it overwhelms me I listen for the sound… vibrations here inside a peace I sometimes hide” evoke an element of introspection, giving the track a sense of intimacy that audiences can instantly connect with.
Sonically, ‘Out Of My Mind’ balances facets of edge with warmth. Influenced by musicians such as Jimi Hendrix and Arctic Monkeys, Dionne blends the gritty style of indie rock with emotional rawness that feels both candid and empowering.
Dionne is previously known to audiences as a guitarist and backing vocalist for Florence + The Machine, where she’s performed on some of the world’s biggest stages. With global tours alongside both Florence + The Machine and her sister Laura Mvula, these experiences have allowed her to polish her craft, shaping her into an even stronger performer and songwriter. Those years on the road provided Dionne with a foundation in musicianship, storytelling, and connecting with audiences, all qualities that translate into her solo work.
With her debut EP in the pipeline, and growing international support and clear creative vision, Dionne stands as one of the most compelling emerging voices in the contemporary UK alternative scene.
