The Fantastic Negrito live experience is quite unlike anyone else. With a voice matched only by his unstoppable charisma and distinctive style, the three-time Grammy Award swings between funk, soul, R&B, gospel and Americana like a man possessed. It’s something which needs to be seen to be believed and the next opportunity to see him in action comes when he returns to the UK in January for a headline tour.
The shows include two headline performances at the January Blues Festival in London as well as Glasgow’s renowned folk, roots and world music festival Celtic Connections, plus a show at The Live Rooms in Chester.
Fantastic Negrito, real name Xavier Dphrepaulezz, says, “My music takes on a life of its own in a live setting—it becomes interactive, the audience becomes part of it. The music is spiritually charged and meant to be experienced in person. AI can’t replace that. Every show is different, organic, and driven by a real sense of urgency.”
Tickets for the shows, listed below, are available HERE. They represent the UK leg of a sprawling 2026 touring schedule that also includes dates across North America, Europe and Australia.

And that’s not all – expect more music from Fantastic Negrito this year.
Fantastic Negrito’s story is as remarkable as his music. Early experiences busking in Oakland, California resulted in a record deal with Interscope which ended both brutally and abruptly when he spent three weeks in a coma following a near-fatal car crash. It was years before he returned to music, winning NPR’s Tiny Desk competition in 2015 and then claiming his first of three Grammy Awards with his 2016 album ‘The Last Days of Oakland’. The late Chris Cornell was a huge champion throughout Fantastic Negrito’s breakthrough era, while other iconic collaborators have included Mick Jagger and Sting.
2025 has seen Fantastic Negrito embark upon an expansive world tour. The year started with a Libera Award nomination for his record‘Son Of A Broken Man’ and he was subsequently invited to join the judging panel for the American Songwriter Song Contest. He also collaborated with breaking artist Everything Velvet on her debut EP ‘Scratch’.
