Electronic music pioneer, celebrated songwriter and globally renowned musician Gary Numan will head to Halifax in 2026. Just days before the Ivor Novello Award winner kicks off a UK tour in celebration of the 45th anniversary of his seminal album Telekon, it is revealed he will headline TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall on Friday July 31.
He will be joined on the night by special guests electro-pop band Ladytron. Tickets go on general sale at 10am Friday via ticketmaster.co.uk
Gary Numan’s influence has been recognised by a diverse array of the world’s greatest artists – from Prince to Lady Gaga, Jack White to Kanye West; Beck to Queens Of The Stone Age, and The Foo Fighters to Nine Inch Nails, many of which have collaborated with Numan and covered or sampled tracks from his vast back catalogue.
Numan’s unique, pioneering style continues to connect the world over, he has never stopped innovating and remains a vital force in music with his live performances recognised for their energy and raw emotion.
This summer saw Numan make his Glastonbury debut. A pioneer of music for almost 50 years, Numan continues to push the boundaries of performance and proves that his influence on the electronic and rock genres is undiminished.
Joining him at The Piece Hall will be Liverpool-formed Ladytron. Spanning dance and indie movements since their formation in the late 90s, Ladytron – Helen Marnie, Daniel Hunt, and Mira Aroyo – rose from DIY beginnings on their local underground scene to global acclaim.
When their 2002 hit Seventeen went viral on TikTok, it introduced Ladytron’s sound to a new generation. Their legacy was further acknowledged when Destroy Everything You Touch, featured in the GRAMMY-nominated original Motion Picture Soundtrack of cult film Saltburn, reaffirming Ladytron’s enduring appeal.
Most recently Ladytron have released two new singles, the high priestess disco of I Believe in You and the techno-noir track I See Red.
Gary Numan joins, McFLY, Garbage and Skunk Anansie, James Taylor, Deacon Blue, The Wombats, The Kooks, Paul Weller, Tom Grennan, Shed Seven, Ethel Cain, Embrace, The K’s and Alex James Britpop Classical among the headliners announced for TK Maxx presents Live at The Piece Hall 2026 with more announcements to come.
