The NYC-born singer, performer, dancer and model Infinite Coles serves up a new banger, a homage to 90s dance music that drips in his powerful, soul-stirring vocals, ‘BGM’ is out now. Listen here

Brand new single ‘BGM’ stands for ‘Black Girl Magic’ and is about self-love in your skin across every divide. With Infinite’s bittersweet, yet uplifting lyrics that reflect his own journey and celebrate LGBTQIA+ culture. Central to the tune is the infectious hook “Don’t go crying to your mama. Cause you’re all alone. Don’t go crying to your papa. Cause he’s never home. Shine your light. Baby love your life. It’ll be all right this time”. The acclaimed producer and artist Zach Witness (Erykah Badu, Frank Ocean, Doechii) provides killer production once again, with classic house music piano chords and arrangements, the track cannot be ignored and is heading for high praise across playlists and dancefloors.

The gloriously colourful video for ‘BGM’ is shot on the streets of Puerto Rico. Directed by friend and key collaborator Robot Moonjuice (Skuzland, Fightclub NY), it visualises Infinite Coles performing the song in his ‘Black Girl Magic’ flamboyance. Oozing the vibrance, joy and soulfulness of vogue-ballroom culture, a powerful vehicle for identity and storytelling, we see a radiant Infinite joined by Puerto Rican dancer Stella, performing and voguing against the gritty, yet colourful urban settings.

‘BGM’ is Infinite Coles’ second offering from his forthcoming debut album to be announced soon, following up ‘Boots Ballroom C*nt Mix’ featuring Maleigh Zan & Julz, which was released earlier this summer. The tune is a love letter to both the vogue-ballroom scene and 90s dance music, produced by Zach Witness and featuring hot, rising star Maleigh Zan and celebrated ballroom choreographer and dancer Julz
