After an extended run on the Radio 2 playlist and multiple sold-out shows, a new chapter in the storied career of James Morrison is taking shape ahead of the October 3rd release of his new album ‘Fight Another Day’. The chart-topping, BRIT Award winner has been inspired by a stronger inner spirit, a quality which stands proud throughout his new single ‘Cry Your Tears On Me’. Listen HERE.
‘Cry Your Tears On Me’ captures a different side of James Morrison’s artistry with a song unlike anything he has done before. It’s a driving, melodic pop-rock song which will bring a different energy to the new album and future live songs. But James’s penchant for affecting emotions remains as powerful as ever, this time with a lyric that feels like an embrace from an old friend: sharing heartbreak opens up fresh hope for the future.
The positivity of ‘Cry Your Tears On Me’ is key to the themes that flow throughout the ‘Fight Another Day’ album. Mental health is key, as James’s songs aim to celebrate everything that’s good in life as well as to inspire a fighting spirit to just keep going. Life can be relentlessly tough, and perhaps things won’t change quickly – but perseverance means that they can change in time, for the better.
The ‘Fight Another Day’ album is available to pre-order / pre-save HERE. All album bundles purchased from his official store include a signed lyric sheet of the record’s title track.
