The Last Dance (Part 1) (Create Music Group) blends pop, dance, and global influences while signaling a transition that will continue with Part 2 and beyond. The album is executive produced by Jason himself and includes focus track “Sexy For Me,” alongside new tracks “Who Hurt You,” “You DJ, I’ll Drive” and “Pineapple,” as well as an interpolation of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated,” offering a fresh take on the iconic track. Guest artists include rising star Melody, from Brazil, and INNA performing vocals on “Complicated.”
“This album feels like a last dance with a high school sweetheart,” says Jason Derulo. “It’s everything I love about this era of my music, the fun, the emotion, the movement, all wrapped into one project. At the same time, it’s a moment to pause, smile, and get ready for what’s next. Part 1 is the celebration before the next chapter begins,” explains Jason Derulo.
The Last Dance (Part 1) is not just an album. It marks the closing chapter of an era. It represents the final expression of the Jason Derulo the world has come to know as he prepares to step into a new creative chapter.
