Production courtesy of Metrophonic, who recently worked with JERUB on hit-single ‘Kumbaya’, provides the perfect foundation for JERUB’s heartfelt vocal delivery which, true to form, is brimming with emotion.

‘Stay’ arrives after a breakthrough moment for the artist: JERUB’s previous single ‘Kumbaya’ became the first-ever No.1 on the newly launched Official UK Christian & Gospel Chart, while also crossing over to pop and folk audiences. Speaking on this incredible achievement, JERUB said: “My first ever No1 on the Official Charts, it’s kinda mad but I’m really grateful! Especially as my music is a real blend of genres, appealing to Pop, Soul lovers, Folk listeners and to have fans in the Christian and Gospel space too is amazing.”
This recognition follows a breakthrough 2025 for the Nottingham-born artist. JERUB embarked on his biggest headline tour to date, including a sold-out show at London’s legendary Jazz Cafe. This tour celebrated his last mixtape, ‘The Wonder Years’, which was met with critical, commercial and fan acclaim. It featured fan favourites ‘Let It Go’ and ‘Deeper’, as well as ‘Kumbaya’, which shot to No.1 on the iTunes chart upon release, and stayed in the Global Big Top 40 for three weeks, showcasing the track’s long-running success.
