2025 is shaping up to be the year of Kingfishr. From the multi-Platinum #1 smash ‘Killeagh’ through to recent sold-out European and North American headline tours, and much bigger shows to come, the trio are racking up an array of major accomplishments ahead of the August 22nd release of their debut album ‘Halcyon’. Now Kingfishr extend their remarkable momentum by sharing a new acoustic version of their recent single ‘Diamonds & Roses’.

The two new versions of ‘Diamonds & Roses’ capture the versatility of the band: the rootsy yet cinematically textured grandeur of the original, and now this new acoustic version led by the sparse beauty of Eoghan “McGoo” McGrath’s banjo and acoustic guitar from Eoin “Fitz” Fitzgibbon. But both versions pulsate with evocative emotions, as Eddie Keough’s rich baritone channels both the fear and the hope that comes with the acceptance that life is a forever changing experience.

Kingfishr have now exceeded 130 million streams without yet releasing a studio album. Having taken the time to ensure their songwriting is at peak strength and that their following is greatly anticipating their debut album means that ‘Halycon’ feels both fresh and instantly familiar. Its songs capture their story so far from early favourites like ‘Flowers-Fire’ through to big moments such as ‘Killeagh’ and ‘Man On The Moon’. It’s also full of equally engaging new songs too, some of which have been previewed on tour.

‘Halycon’ is available to pre-order HERE. Kingfishr’s official store offers two limited edition formats which add a signed postcard: a stone-coloured vinyl and a CD.

Next comes select festival dates across the UK and Europe plus outdoor shows in Ireland ahead of a headline tour in Europe. That run will close with their biggest London shows so far at the O2 Forum Kentish Town. Back in Dublin they will play to 26,000 people over two nights at the 3Arena, where a second show was added to meet phenomenal demand for tickets. Please see HERE for tickets.
