The rise of singer-songwriter Leonie Jakobi has seen great names such as Sir Paul McCartney, Simon Le Bon and Steve Van Zandt contribute to her journey. Which makes it so fitting that her brand new single ‘Come and Roll Me With Me’ features Arielle, a musician who is really an artist’s artist. The solo artist, guitarist and producer was discovered by Nuno Bettencourt (Rihanna, Extreme) and has collaborated with an A-Z of renowned names, including Brian May, Joe Bonamassa and Vince Gill. The track features on Leonie’s debut album ‘What Are The People Gonna Say?’ which follows on September 5th.
Leonie Jakobi and Arielle share an intuitive connection, as showcased on ‘Come And Roll With Me’. Their voices both stand-out on their own terms, but really excel when they unite in unison on the song’s sweet, melancholic chorus. Leaning into the softer side of Americana and country, the song captures the solitude and longing of a life spent on the road. But it’s also about the hope that’s around the corner, the possibility that you can be reunited with someone who can so naturally lift your mood. Listen HERE
Primarily produced by Arielle, ‘What Are The People Gonna Say?’ is available to pre-order HERE and will be released on vinyl and CD.
Leonie’s recent shows have included two IPO Festival sets at the storied Cavern Club in her adopted hometown of Liverpool. Next up is the Wokingham Festival, then a return to her homeland of Germany to launch the album at Dreieichenhain Castle. She is then back on the road in November for a co-headline tour with Tom Wright, tickets for which are available HERE.
