Megan Moroney releases her highly anticipated new album ‘On Cloud 9’ Stream here
A 15-song stunner defined by her most self-assured songwriting yet, Cloud 9 features the previously released “6 Months Later” (a GOLD-certified Country radio No. 1 smash), “Beautiful Things” (a Billboard Hot 100-charting Country radio hit), “Wish I Didn’t” (a fierce but feel-good anthem hailed by Holleras a “fantastic, infectious country-pop earworm”), and its album-opening title track (a gravity-defying reverie that MusicRow deemed “a lilting, lovely watercolor of romantic bliss”). With guest spots from global superstar Ed Sheeran (on “I Only Miss You”) and Country luminary Kacey Musgraves (on “Bells & Whistles”), the album’s standouts also include her viral hit “Wedding Dress” (a longtime fan favorite since Moroney first shared the song on social media), and “Medicine,” one of Cloud 9’s most fearless and fiery tracks — with each of the album’s 15 songs accompanied by its own lyric video.
During her whirlwind release week, Moroney was also honoured at the second annual Sharing the Spotlight event from She Is The Music (on 2/18), an organization co-founded by global superstar Alicia Keys and dedicated to increasing the number of women working in music. As this year’s Artist Spotlight honoree, Moroney was recognized for her chart-topping success, the gender-balanced approach she brings to every collaboration, and her deep commitment to working with diverse, female-led teams.
