Following the announcement of their September UK tour with Broken Social Scene and Stars last month, Metric have shared their latest single,’Crush Forever,’ which premiered on Huw Stephens’ BBC 6Music show. The track is the latest cut to be taken from their upcoming album, Romanticize The Dive – arriving April 24 on Thirty Tigers. Listen to ‘Crush Forever’ HERE.

Frontwoman Emily Haines calls the track “my love letter to strong girls in this world.” She wrote the lyrics in a stream-of-consciousness style as a passing of the torch: “Have the best but don’t be had, don’t be scared of pain, you’ll bounce right back, much stronger, sweeter than before, that’s us, go crush, go get what’s yours.”

The new song follows recent singles ‘Time Is A Bomb,’ a hard driving ode to seizing the moment with a dangerous adrenaline junkie edge; and ‘Victim of Luck,’ a mission statement tracing the band back to their early days and revisiting the tension, vulnerability, and hunger of youth.

For their tenth LP, Metric went back to the place where they met: New York City at the height of its indie-rock explosion. Recording once again at Electric Lady, Metric reunited with Fantasies and Synthetica producer Gavin Brown, joined by co-producers Jimmy Shaw, Liam O’Neil, and mix engineer John O’Mahoney. This emotional reunion sonically captures the thrill of the band’s earliest ascent, with all the chaos and possibility of the early-2000s music scene, and brings it into the cultural context of 2026.

In celebration of the release Metric will play two very special, stripped back sold-out shows at Rough Trade East in London on April 13th, as well as sold-out acoustic in-stores at The Mixtape in Paris on April 15th and Rough Trade in Berlin on April 17th. They also just announced a special Blood Records variant of the album – tricolour oxblood, silver and transpired green smash LP with silver cream and oxblood splatter, limited to 350 and hand-numbered that can be ordered HERE.

In addition to their new album, Metric, Broken Social Scene and Stars have announced the All The Feelings Tour, promoted by Live Nation. A celebration of lifelong friendship and creative communion amongst the Toronto legends, the tour kicks off in Austin at the Moody Theatre on June 8th and continues through the summer with an already sold out homecoming show at RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto on August 7th.
