Following the announcement of her eagerly anticipated debut album The Consequence of Love earlier this year, Rianne Downey releases the latest cut from the record with ‘Good In Goodbye’. The track is the fourth advance to be taken from The Consequence Of Love, which comes out October 17th on Run On.

The album opener, Rianne’s magical talents are front and centre, forceful and joyful, on ‘Good in Goodbye’. A wriggling earworm, it’s a mandolin and banjo-brightened song that has its roots in pain, but alchemises that into a feel good fun-burst of positivity. “This song is about coming to terms with growing older, embracing change, and realising that love and loss are intertwined,” Rianne says of the single. “It’s a reflection on finding peace in goodbyes and trusting that heartbreak is the doorway to growth.” Listen to ‘Good In Goodbye’ HERE.

Produced by Grammy winner Ryan Hadlock (Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlisle) and recorded at Seattle’s Bear Creek Studio, The Consequence of Love features ten tracks that effortlessly showcase a serious new country, folk voice. The songs were all written by Rianne Downey, some with her and long-time collaborator Nathaniel Laurence.

After a magnificent set at TRNSMT Festival earlier this summer, Rianne will embark on a run of UK & Ireland dates through winter 2025. Kicking off with a sold-out show at Hull’s Central Library on October 12th, the tour will also see her play a sold-out date at London’s OMEARA on October 29th, before culminating with a sold-out hometown show at The Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow on December 6th. Rianne has also announced a new London date at One Ninety Four on March 5th 2026 due to demand. Alongside her headline dates Rianne will support Tom Grennan on select dates across his September arena tour. Further info HERE.
