Fresh from supporting Tom Grennan last month, Rianne Downey is currently on a sold out UK tour showcasing songs from her wonderful debut album ‘The Consequence of Love’, released this Friday on Run On.
Today she releases the poignant, ‘Heart of Mine’, the perfect showcase for her beautiful voice. “This song is about coming to terms with growing older, embracing change, and realising that love and loss are intertwined,” Rianne explains. “It’s a reflection on finding peace in goodbyes and trusting that heartbreak is the doorway to growth.” Listen to the track HERE.
Produced by Ryan Hadlock (Zach Bryan, Brandi Carlisle) and recorded at Seattle’s Bear Creek Studio, The Consequence of Love features ten tracks that effortlessly showcase a strong new country, folk voice. The songs, including new track ‘Heart of Mine’, were written by Rianne Downey, some with her long-time collaborator Nathaniel Laurence. MOJO in their 4* review described the album as a ‘rock solid debut from an exceptional singer’ and said Rianne was ‘the owner of a pure country voice that sits somewhere between Patsy Cline and Emmylou Harris.’
Rianne is currently on a sold out run of UK dates that kicked off in Hull October 12th and finishes in Glasgow on December 6th. Further info HERE.
