BRIT and Emmy nominated, critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Sam Ryder has released his highly anticipated second studio album, Heartland. The album is released via independent label Artist Theory and is available to purchase, download or stream here.

On the album, Sam says “The creation of this album came along at a time where my light felt like it was dimming the most. I hauled myself and my family over to Nashville, pitched up at our log cabin in the trees, and started writing it out with friends surrounding me. It’s an emotional experience hearing it back, each song a chapter of the year and a half it took to create, marking pivotal moments of transformation and change in my life. One thing has stayed constant throughout though – a thread of hope keeping this project alive and my head above water. I hope these songs bring you the peace they were crafted with, and that you take them on your next chapters.”

The release comes ahead of Sam’s biggest headline show to date at London’s Wembley Arena on November 6 – a particularly poignant place for Sam as the venue of the first gig he ever went to as a teen. Tickets are on sale here.

Yesterday, Sam kicked off his Record Store Tour, performing in independent record stores and HMV’s across the country over the coming days. After that, Sam embarks on his sold out Road To Wembley Tour, seeing him perform intimate shows in independent venues across the UK in October, with each city and venue hand-picked by Sam and holding sentimental value from the early days of his career as an upcoming artist.

The album takes listeners into the intimate corners of Sam’s soul over the past year, tracing a profound journey of growth, both personally and professionally. After two decades of unrelenting dedication to his music, Heartland is the album Sam Ryder has long yearned to create. Sonically fresh and elevated, and lyrically resonating on a deeper level than ever before, the 13 tracks that comprise Heartland, including previously released singles ‘White Lies’,‘OH OK’, ‘Armour’, ‘The Feeling Never Went Away’ and ‘Better Man’, unveil a side of Sam you’ve never seen or heard before.
