Heartland is available to pre-order/save here. Listen to ‘Better Man’ here.

‘Better Man’ showcases Sam’s phenomenal vocal range set against an instantly-catchy piano-led melody. It was written by Sam and prolific hit-maker Mike Elizondo alongside Mozella and Captain Cuts, and narrates the transformative power of unconditional love, celebrating the journey of becoming a better version of yourself through someone else’s unwavering belief in you.

Speaking on the track Sam says: “Better man is a song about the people who inspire us to be or do better. It can be the big things or small things in life that motivate us to make those changes, but at the heart of it is wanting to be the best version of ourselves to share a beautiful life with someone.”

‘Better Man’ will feature on Sam’s forthcoming new album Heartland, due on October 17. The upcoming album takes listeners into the intimate corners of Sam’s soul over the past year, tracing a profound journey of growth, both personally and professionally. After two decades of unrelenting dedication to his music, this is the album Sam Ryder has long yearned to create. Sonically fresh and elevated, and lyrically resonating on a deeper level than ever before, the 13 tracks that comprise Heartland unveil a side of Sam you’ve never seen or heard before.

Heartland will also feature previously released single ‘White Lies’ – the song that kicked off this new era of his artistry, narrating the period where Sam wasn’t honest with himself as he navigated through the whirlwind of his career breakthrough. It also features previously released singles ‘OH OK’, ‘Armour’ and ‘The Feeling Never Went Away’.

Sam will be playing his biggest headline show to date at London’s Wembley Arena on November 6, a particularly poignant place for Sam as the venue of the first gig he ever went to as a teen. Tickets are on sale here.
