Christmas will come early for North East ravers this year as viral OAP party starter Nanna Makina has joined a bill alongside Schak for his annual Christmas bash at NX Newcastle on Westgate Road.
DJ Schak’s chaotic alter ego will dust off her dancing shoes one more time and will be joined by MCs Tazo and Stompin’ as Schak’s legendary Toon Christmas takeover returns.
The newly confirmed acts will join an already epic lineup which includes the likes of the hugely popular Scottish DJ and production duo Jezza & Jod, hard dance and techno star MDDLTN and LD50.
Schak’s set to unveil his new label and brand, 33 as well as a new stage design, next-level production and Nanna Makina at her mischievous best.
“This special time of year is all about spending time with family and friends and Nanna Makina was never going to miss out on the biggest party of the weekend,” said Schak. “Who knows what’s going to happen? Anyone who’s raved with Nanna in the past knows to expect the unexpected. Then there’s my boys MC Tazo and MC Stompin’. We’re buzzing to have them on board this Saturday. North East ravers know what they want and we’re here to give it to them.”
“It’s great to be back at a place I like to think of as a second home. There’s no better place to party than NX on a Saturday night and I’m honoured to be unveiling my new brand and record label there in just a few days time.”
MC heavyweights Tazo and Stompin’ are established favourites of the North East rave circuit. And the pair regularly perform together on the fast-paced rave and Makina scene where relentless momentum is key.
Schak has rapidly ascended as one of the most exciting new talents in electronic music. Bursting onto the scene with his breakout hit “Moving All Around (Jumpin’),” which earned a nomination for Dance Track of the Year by BBC Radio 1, Schak has since toured the world, electrifying audiences at iconic venues such as Ushuaïa, Hï Ibiza, and Elrow.
Known for his infectious energy and captivating performances, Schak’s sound has evolved into a faster-paced, high-octane style, capturing the essence of the rave scene with a fresh, modern twist. Now collaborating with heavyweight acts like Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W & W, Symmetrik, and Will Atkinson, he continues to push boundaries, blending energetic beats with dynamic production.
With support from industry giants such as Patrick Topping, John Summit, Skream, Ben Hemsley, and Danny Howard, Schak’s trajectory shows no signs of slowing down. Backed by new management at LGRP and agents at ATA, his already prolific career is poised for an explosive new chapter in 2026.
Schak’s Christmas takeover marks another milestone as he heads into what promises to be an explosive 2026.
