After a stand out show at this year’s The Great Escape festival in Brighton and releasing their raucous single ‘At Hope’ last month, THE NONE return with new track ‘In Civic Pride’.

Taken from the band’s two-track limited 7” release, which is out now on ZENNOR Records, ‘In Civic Pride’ is a fierce onslaught of raw chaos. “The world’s burning and we’ve put edgelord meme-bros in charge,” says bassist Gordon Moakes of the track. “How will that turn out I wonder? Tech idiocracy is a class war, in the end. I’m backing the Luddites.” Listen to the full 7” HERE.

Following their debut shows in February 2024, THE NONE have quickly built a reputation as a formidable live band – racking up shows with the likes of Mannequin Pussy, Les Savy Fav, Metz and The Jesus Lizard. Having already blown the roof off of the Paganini Ballroom at their BBC 6 Music show at The Great Escape Festival, the band are continuing to captivate the UK with their unrelenting live show throughout 2025.

Formed of bassist Gordon Moakes (Bloc Party, Young Legionnaire), vocalist Kai Whyte (Blue Ruth, Youth Man), guitarist Jim Beck (Cassels) and drummer Chris Francombe (Frauds), THE NONE’s music is a stark collision of unfiltered noise and striking melody. Equal parts chaos and craft, their sound channels the edges of post-hardcore with the weight of something more introspective. Already gaining a host of supporters including BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, NTS Radio, Pitchfork, The Guardian, NME, DIY Mag, The Line of Best Fit and more, as well as building a dedicated underground following, 2025 is set to be the year of THE NONE.
