Delivering sun-kissed ‘70s Californian rock, uplifting Americana and power-pop to a new generation, The Sons of Guns win admiration wherever they go. The timeless songwriting, sweet five-way vocal harmonies and impeccable multi-instrumentalist performances that the band infuse in tracks such as ‘Hollywood’, ‘I Got It Right’ and ‘It’s Getting Better’ has won over some famous faces – live collaborations with Rick Astley and Joss Stone plus praise from Eagles of Death Metal’s Jesse Hughes- while Musexpo founder Sat Bisla described their set as one of the best in the showcase’s 25-year history.
Now it’s time for The Sons of Guns to connect with their grassroots following in the UK as they announce details of their debut headline tour. It’s also a homecoming for the band’s four Englishmen (David Zincke, Scott Richman, Jack Daniel and Frankie Connolly) who formed the band with Aymeric Ardimanni. They’re based in Nice, France, a location which allows them to play as many shows as possible – creating a musical intuition that will be apparent to anyone attending this upcoming tour. Tickets for the UK shows are available HERE.
In addition, they will play three sets in four days in Los Angeles: a WFNM showcase, at the Mark Awards where they’re nominated for Country/Americana Track of the Year, and their own show at Cafe Hollywood.
Frontman David Zincke says, “Always the bridesmaid, never the bride! We’ve always, up until now, been the support band for so many great artists. But now that it’s us headlining, we’re a little bit more excited about this tour. Playing live is what we love most about our life in music, and we can’t wait to share it!”
The Sons of Guns also preview the tour with the release of a new live version of their current single ‘I Got It Right’ – listen HERE.
Influences such as Crosby Stills & Nash, The Eagles and The Beatles are prevalent in The Sons of Guns’ discography so far, but they possess a warm, positive appeal that will speak to fans of The Black Keys or UK rootsy rock favourites like Gomez.
