Rock icons Then Jerico continue ‘The Return’ live tour of U.K. & European dates with an intimate gig at the The Old Woollen, Leeds, LS28 5UJ on Thursday 11th Dec 2025.

Then Jerico lead singer, songwriter, producer, and sole original founder member Mark Shaw and his band will perform a 90-minute set featuring all the Then Jerico chart hit singles and fan-favourite album tracks from the band’s first two albums The Big Area (Outside) and First (The Sound of Music) along with tracks from Mark’s 1990’s solo albums.

Special guest support comes from Rolo McGinty of The Woodentops.

Then Jerico is achieved significant commercial success in the late 1980s. Formed in 1983 by lead singer and songwriter Mark Shaw, the band quickly secured a contract with London Records and gained a reputation for their energetic live performances. They released two platinum-selling studio albums: First (The Sound of Music) in 1987, which featured the hit single “The Motive” (the most-played record on BBC Radio 1 that year), and their most successful release, The Big Area, in 1989.

The Big Area album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and included their biggest UK hit single, the title track “Big Area,” which peaked at number 13. Another notable single from the album, “What Does It Take,” featured backing vocals from Belinda Carlisle. After the original line-up disbanded in the early 1990s, Mark Shaw continued to perform under the name (releasing further albums and a live recording) and has pursued a successful solo career and other projects, including performing with the SAS Band alongside artists like Tony Hadley and Brian May. The band has reunited for several tours since 2012, and Mark Shaw continues to tour, playing to packed houses of loyal fans and newcomers alike performing classic hits and album tracks.
