TS7 is at the forefront of bassline’s 2.0 era, his music drawing on the nostalgic sounds of its breakthrough while pushing the genre to a bold next chapter. That retro-future style continues today as he shares his new single ‘Moment’. It features vocals from Charlotte Plank, who is best known for her Top 5, Platinum-certified and BRIT-nominated Rudimental / Vibe Chemistry collab ‘Dancing Is Healing’. Listen HERE.
‘Moment’ is TS7’s take on T2’s 2007 hit ‘Heartbroken’ which became one of bassline’s biggest crossover moments when it climbed to #2 in 2007. TS7’s modernisation focuses on its most insistent elements, dropping the BPM a touch, amplifying the bass punch and stripping it down to a lean, hook-orientated juggernaut, further complemented by Charlotte Plank’s pop-soulful vocals.
TS7 says, “It was absolutely unreal to work with Charlotte Plank on this record. With ‘Moment’ we wanted to nod to T2’s original classic Heartbroken and bring it to 2025 in a new interesting way. As soon as we made it,we all felt it was something special. We are really, really gassed to finally release this one to the world.”
Charlotte Plank says, “It’s been great to be a part of paying homage to one of the most iconic bassline tunes of all time, serving it up to the new generations with our own rework of it. Couldn’t have worked with a better team on it, it’s been amazing to work with another bassline legend in the game TS7”.
The track emerges after TS7 recently played one of London’s biggest ever bassline events B2B with Denon Reed. Next up is tomorrow’s Halloween Shutdown at the Digbeth Arena, Birmingham, on a bill headed by Giggs.
Originally from Bradford, TS7 has amassed millions of streams for tracks like ‘Real Raver’ (with Slick Don), ‘Freak’ and ‘Slow Down’. An in-demand remixer, his credits have included Jorja Smith, James Hype and Estelle, while Clementine Douglas, Karen Harding and Skepsis are among his other major collaborators. International touring has also included landmark festival sets such as Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, Parklife and Creamfields.
