Northern Irish indie rock favourites Two Door Cinema Club announce their return to New York City for a landmark headline performance at The World’s Most Famous Arena Madison Square Garden on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Presented by The Bowery Presents, this show celebrates their breakout debut album Tourist History and will feature a special full-album performance, as well as the band’s greatest hits. The evening will also welcome special guest performances by Phantogram, STRFKR, and Friendly Fires.
Released in 2010 via Glassnote Records, Tourist History helped define a generation of indie music, spawning era-defining tracks like “What You Know,” “Something Good Can Work,” and “Undercover Martyn.” Fifteen years later, the album remains a touchstone for fans worldwide and a pivotal moment in the band’s evolution from club stages to global festival headliners.
The September 27 performance marks Two Door Cinema Club’s first-ever show at Madison Square Garden, a milestone moment in their long-standing relationship with New York City, one that stretches back to early headline shows, sold-out nights at Webster Hall in 2010, and most recently, sold-out nights at Pier 17.
“MSG is one of those bucket list venues for any artist. After we sold out Webster Hall in 2010, we took a walk past The Garden one night and our agent said, ‘This time next year, boys!’ It only took a few extra years to get there, but here we are! We love NYC and we really can’t wait for this one.” -Two Door Cinema Club
The night promises a celebratory, high-energy experience pairing a front-to-back performance of Tourist History with the band’s biggest and most beloved tracks, alongside a stacked lineup of artists who have helped shape modern indie and electronic music. With Phantogram’s brooding electronic textures, STRFKR’s euphoric synth-pop, and Friendly Fires’ dance-floor anthems, the show is set to be one of the most memorable indie events of 2026.
