Following what was undoubtedly one of this year’s standout festivals, with a sold-out crowd of 80,000 and an electric atmosphere, Creamfields returns for the August Bank Holiday weekend in 2027 to mark 30 years at the forefront of global electronic music. And Cream HQ isn’t wasting any time getting the celebrations started, revealing its first headliner for the landmark 2027 edition – The Prodigy!
Returning to Creamfields after 14 years, one of the most influential and electrifying electronic acts of all time, The Prodigy will headline APEX stage on Saturday 28th August Bank Holiday weekend, marking their long-awaited return to the festival.
For 35 years, Liam and Maxim have taken their blistering live shows to every corner of the globe. Joined by long-standing live members Leo Crabtree on drums and Rob Holliday on guitar, The Prodigy continue to push the boundaries of production and performance, combining retina-blasting visuals and soul-shaking bass with their legendary, no-holds-barred energy.
The Prodigy emerged from Britain’s underground rave scene before exploding onto the global stage, tearing down the boundaries between rave, electronic music and punk along the way. With a catalogue of era-defining anthems including ‘Firestarter’, ‘Breathe’ and ‘Out of Space’, alongside their multi-platinum, genre-defining album ‘The Fat of the Land’, 2027 sees the 30th Anniversary of the iconic album coincide with Creamfields celebrating 30 years at the forefront of global electronic music.
Their return to Creamfields carries its own history. The band last performed at the festival in 2013. Fourteen years on, they return to unleash their legendary live show inside APEX, one of the world’s biggest indoor festival stages, for what promises to be one of the defining performances of the festival’s 30-year celebrations.
Since its launch in 1998, Creamfields has grown from its beginnings in Winchester into a global electronic music powerhouse, bringing together the biggest artists, groundbreaking production and generations of dance music fans. Three decades on, its influence and appetite for pushing electronic music forward remains as strong as ever.
Taking over the August Bank Holiday weekend in 2027, Creamfields’ 30-year celebrations will honour to celebrate the artists, fans and unforgettable moments that have shaped its story, while looking firmly towards the next chapter.
And with The Prodigy now confirmed as the first headliner, the countdown to 30 years of Creamfields has officially begun.
