Cementing its place as the true starting gates of the great UK festival experience, Standon Calling is once again delivering the perfect summer weekend of incredible music, unrivalled entertainment and fun for all the family – with even more incredible names joining its all-encompassing festival bill this July.

Leading these new names is some of British music’s most beloved voices – across different genres and styles that all meet at Standon Calling 2021. Widely praised as a vital new voice in British music, Mahalia heads to Standon Calling this year, bringing a stunning set of jaw-dropping brilliance that’ll surely stand as a highlight of the weekend for many. A wordsmith that has carved his own undeniable path, Jake Bugg will touchdown in Hertfordshire fresh from the success of latest single ‘All I Need’ with a discography of anthems (looking at you ‘Lightning Bolt’ and ‘Two Fingers’) perfect for festival season. Constantly showcasing some of the most critically revered artists of their generations, Standon Calling will once again serve up the goods with Mercury Prize nominees Georgia and Moses Boyd joining the party this summer. With the glorious dancefloor electronics of recent album ‘Seeking Thrills’ ready to get everyone moving, Georgia is a must-see come July, whilst the gloriously eclectic experimental jazz stylings of Moses Boyd are a sight that simply must be experienced live and in the flesh.

Set to perform at next week’s BRIT Awards, and fresh from scooping the awards’ ‘Rising Star’ prize, Griff will head to Standon Calling this summer – offering a chance for festival fans to catch a pop sensation in the making before anyone else. Another band born for these sort of collective festival heights is Pale Waves, returning to Standon Calling off the back of their rapturously received second LP ‘Who Am I?’ – full of alternative-pop hooks that has them destined to become one of the biggest new bands of right now. They’re yet another must-see moment, with fellow additions Lava La Rue and Shygirl also standing as unmissable new artists making bold statements first at this year’s festival, it confirms that once again Standon Calling 2021 is nothing but essential.
