On the EP release, 20-year-old Abby says ‘I’m so excited to finally have my EP ‘Ashes’ out in the world, it’s been a real journey getting to this point and i couldn’t think of a better way to introduce myself to the world of music!’

‘Ashes’ track listing:

  1. Pink champagne
  2. Paramaniac
  3. Cigarette Burns
  4. Bandaid
  5. Video Girl
  6. Lovefool
  7. Sleepwalking

New track ‘Video Girl’ is accompanied by a compelling video, co- directed by Abby herself, which premiered on Rolling Stone UK yesterday and was described by the magazine as ‘a powerful critique of social media’s dark side’. ‘Video Girl’ was written by Abby Roberts and Noah Terefe, with added production from Matias Tellez and follows the narrative of the idolisation of celebrities and the impact this can have on young people. The video conveys this, with Robert’s taking a ’Miracle-Lax’ powder to achieve an ‘insta-perfect life’ highlighting the increasing social media pressures that many young people face. The video was co-directed by Mr Anderson and filmed in London.

Abby explains; ‘I wrote Video Girl as a way to express to young people like myself who are forever comparing themselves to celebrities and people online, wishing they had the perfect life that those people portray, that the reality of it is not always as it seems. It feels like a conversation with not only my younger self but people who admire me online too.’
