Ivory Coast-born singer, songwriter and model Adonis releases the video for his single ‘Alright’ today via Disturbing London. A portion of the proceeds for ‘Alright’ will be donated to We Are New Africa – a charity which focuses on helping youth and children get into careers in technology, sports and creative fields.

Alright’, which was written by Adonis shortly after the break-up of a long-term relationship, explores messages of hope, unconditional love and forgiveness. The official video, creative directed by Adonis himself alongside collaborator Warren Montilla, aims to take these themes and contextualize them into the world today. The video features a montage of striking visuals taken from across the world in locations including New York City, London, Montreal and Chicago, focusing on the global Black Lives Matter movement and Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking about the video for ‘Alright’, Adonis says: “I wanted the video to have that same comforting feeling as the song. Especially with everything we are going through, I wanted to send some positivity and some hope to everyone struggling to find a way to cope. A reminder that through it all we should keep faith that we will be alright.”

Although new to the music scene, Adonis Bosso has built a successful international career for himself as a fashion model, fronting campaigns for the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Tom Ford, Beyonce’s Ivy Park and more. As one of the first male black models to be cast for global fashion house Dolce & Gabbana, Adonis has been praised for making progress for representation of the black community in the fashion industry. Born on the Ivory Coast and raised in Canada, Adonis’ uniquely international upbringing has influenced his artistry and view of life.
