An arena-filling, multi-Platinum Top 10 star in both Sweden and Norway, Albin Lee Meldau has teamed up with the UK’s chart-topping singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti for the new single ‘Hold Your Head Up’. The duo premiered the song last week when Jack joined Albin on stage at his huge 20,000 capacity outdoor headline show in Stockholm. Listen HERE.

‘Hold Your Head Up’ shows that the two artists are kindred spirits. Their two voices complement each other so well, with Albin’s grittier rasp and Jack’s brighter soul vocal both bringing a release of uplifting emotion. Backed by a similarly warm production, full of classic live instrumentation and flourishes of brass, ‘Hold Your Head Up’ provides a heartening tonic for the kind of days on which the world’s challenges get you down.

Albin says, “‘Hold Your Head Up’ is a song about an appeal to your loved one, not to drown. The only way they can swim is by themselves.”

Jack adds, “I had not met Albin before working on this track, I absolutely loved the song and that brought me to discover more of his work. Like me you can hear the English/ American influences mixed in with our European musical heritage. I’m hearing more and more of that and it’s great.”

‘Hold Your Head Up’ follows ‘When You’re Here’ and ‘Forget About Us’ in previewing Albin’s eagerly awaited new English-language album, which was primarily produced by his good friend Eg White and Nick Lobel (Harry Styles, Sam Smith) . The album positions Albin to make his biggest international impact to date, having previously earned numerous playlists at Radio 2 and further airplay courtesy of Elton John’s Rocket Hour. The half-English artist’s numerous achievements include a Swedish Grammy nomination, winning the MMETA and Anchor Awards at the Reeperbahn Festival, and recording a coveted Tiny Desk session for NPR.
