ALGIERS play ‘Dispossession’ on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

“Dynamic, ferocious, and technically hypnotic” – Line Of Best Fit ‘Album Of The Week’

In celebration of the release of their acclaimed new album There Is No Year, Atlanta via London/NYC four-piece Algiers appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Friday, January 31st, to perform ‘Dispossession’. Watch HERE.

There Is No Year is out now on Matador Records, and features singles ‘We Can’t Be Found’, ‘Void’, and the studio version of ‘Dispossession. The band also recently shared a special stripped back live version of the latter, recorded live at the Conklin Metal Building in their hometown of Atlanta. Watch HERE.

Algiers’ headline UK tour kicks off tonight in Brighton, followed by shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Leeds, before continuing to European and North American legs. A full list of upcoming dates can be found below.

Alongside receiving critical praise, There Is No Year was recently highlighted as Album of the Day on BBC 6 Music.

There Is No Year was recorded in New York throughout 2019 by childhood friends and Atlanta natives Franklin James Fisher, Ryan Mahan and Lee Tesche, as well as drummer Matt Tong (ex-Bloc Party), alongside producers Randall Dunn (Sunn O))), Earth, Oren Ambarchi) and Ben Greenberg (Zs, Uniform, The Men). The album is titled after author and fellow Atlanta native Blake Butler’s novel of the same name, a major inspiration to the band over the course of the album’s making.
