Andrew Cushin has unveiled an all-star new live band as the acclaimed singer-songwriter prepares to embark upon the biggest UK headline tour of his career this winter.

The Newcastle artist has announced the addition of David ‘Greenie’ Green on drums and former Red Rum Club member Joe Corby, AKA ‘Joe The Blow’, on trumpet, completing a new touring line-up which already features former Catfish and the Bottlemen guitarist Johnny ‘Bondy’ Bond on lead guitar.

Rehearsals are now underway as Cushin prepares to take a bigger and more expansive live sound across the country, bringing together musicians with experience spanning some of British indie and alternative music’s most celebrated live acts.

Greenie has performed with the likes of Little Comets and VANT, as well as working with Adam Ant and on The X Factor UK, while Bond became known to audiences across the world as lead guitarist with Catfish and the Bottlemen. The pair also share history of their own, having previously played together in Newcastle outfit Detroit Social Club. Cushin’s forthcoming tour will see them reunited in a band for the first time since.

Completing the line-up is Joe Corby, whose trumpet playing became an unmistakable element of Red Rum Club’s sound before his departure from the band earlier this year. The three musicians now join Cushin at a pivotal point in a career which continues to gather momentum on both sides of the Atlantic.

The tour will culminate in another landmark hometown appearance at O2 City Hall Newcastle on Thursday 10 December, where Cushin will make his fifth headline appearance.

He previously became the youngest Geordie artist to sell out Newcastle City Hall, attracting more than 4,500 fans across two nights in December 2023, before subsequently headlining the outdoor Mouth of the Tyne Festival. With a Top 40 album behind him, an international audience continuing to grow and now his most ambitious touring line-up yet, Cushin heads into the biggest headline run of his career with the live firepower to match.
