Championed by Noel Gallagher, Pete Doherty, Sam Fender and Louis Tomlinson, Andrew Cushin lived up to the hype with his debut album Waiting For The Rain, which spent three weeks at #1 on the Official Independent Album Breakers Chart while surging into the Top 10 on the Independent Albums and Record Store Charts. He has also become an increasingly big draw with his live shows across the U.K., Europe and the USA.

Touring America and Europe with Louis Tomlinson and playing iconic outdoor venues including the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Greek Theatre and Forest Hills Stadium never fazed him, and he has barely stopped touring ever since. He has since played special guest and support tours with Paul Weller, Starsailor, Pete Doherty, Robbie Williams and Noel Gallagher.

This summer, he joined Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and The Undertones for a string of shows, including Lincoln Castle and other prestigious outdoor stages across the UK. In his hometown of Newcastle upon Tyne, he became the youngest Geordie artist to sell out Newcastle City Hall, drawing 4,500 people across two nights, before subsequently headlining the outdoor Mouth of the Tyne Festival.

Just as ‘Waiting For The Rain’ introduced a bigger, bolder sound than his early EPs, his 2025 album Love Is For Everyone saw Andrew pushing his sound further into new territory while also delivering his first UK Top 40 Album Chart entry. That expressive, all-feeling voice still dominates, bringing his relatable and poignant autobiographical lyrics vividly to life. This time, however, the scale of the music is amplified even further, embracing a diverse array of influences and setting the stage for his singer-songwriter roots to crash headfirst into mainstream awareness. The album was produced by Gareth Nuttall, whose work with The K’s and Lottery Winners helped elevate both acts from cult favourites to mainstream chart success stories.

The standout performer played across five shows at South by Southwest earlier this year, with Andrew’s powerhouse performances in Austin igniting a fresh wave of new fans and supporters joining his journey. The anthemic new four-track EP ‘Human Conditions’ arrives with emotional weight, lyrical delving into themes of addiction and loss. The EP’s lead single ‘Human Condition’ perfectly introduces the intricate songwriting and themes listeners can expect within the full body of work, ‘Human Conditions’ due to release on November 20th.

The accompanying music video for ‘Human Condition’ above, brings the themes and lyrical ideas of the track to life within a working men’s social club in Andrew’s home city of Newcastle. Andrew has just announced his full band who will be joining him on the road in November/ December, featuring Johnny Bond (formerly of Catfish and The Bottlemen), and recently adding Joe The Blow (of Red Rum Club) for an excellent team of experienced musicians and performers to bolster up the live performances for the headline UK tour.
