“‘Échale’ is a song about being whatever version of yourself, being wild and free.” – Ramos
On the track, which was produced by Grammy award-winning team Andrés Torres & Mauricio Rengifo (“Despacito”), Ramos serves up slick and sexy verses with a Latin flair. A summer party anthem, he urges, “Turn up the music up. Go and grab another drink,” before an infectious stadium-size chant of “Échale.”
Most importantly, it sets the stage for the arrival of Ramos’ second full-length record, LOVE AND LIES, out June 25, 2021. The multi-talented artist has been gearing up for the album with the release of two new songs “Blessings” and “Say Less,” which he dropped at the start of the year. Both tracks have attracted early praise with Rolling Stone praising “Say Less” as “an unabashedly steamy piece of R&B,” and Billboard declaring “his seductive, effervescent croon on “Say Less,” an atmospheric R&B late-night jam in the vein of the Weeknd.” About the red hot music video featuring Ramos’s In The Heights costar Melissa Barrera, Remezcla wrote, “Ramos and Barrera let off some major steam.” The new music showcases a more sensuous Pop/R&B sound for the artist.
2021 is shaping up to be the rising stars biggest year yet. Ramos recently graced the covers of The Hollywood Reporter and TIME Magazine’s prestigious “Next Generation Leaders” issue. This month he will star in the blockbuster film “In The Heights,” which will be released in theaters and available via HBO Max, on June 11th. He also currently stars in HBO’s reimagining of the Emmy Award-winning series In Treatment opposite Uzo Aduba. What’s more he starred in Calvin Klein’s new Spring 2021 campaign alongside stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Jacob Elordi.
