A London-based Spanish artist with Turkish, French and American heritage, newcomer Arum Flowers introduces herself to UK audiences with today’s release of her new single ‘No Quieres’. It’s just her second release after her debut track ‘Magnetic’ was released in March as she was in the middle of a North American tour as special guest to ¿Téo?. Listen HERE.

‘No Quieres’ is a sublime calling card for Arum Flowers, her luscious vocal providing the special spark to bring the track’s cocktail of sensual R&B, Latin-tinged beats and modern pop to life. Featuring vocals split between English and Spanish, ‘No Quieres’ (which loosely translates as ‘You Don’t Want’) captures the heady rush of falling deep into a summer romance while being fully aware that it might not last.
.
Arum Flowers says, “Growing up in Mallorca, I was inspired to create a song that encapsulates that nostalgic island summer feeling. To me, the song is a constant duality between bittersweet lyrics that speak about a rekindling summer romance and the fun, light, upbeat rhythm of the song defining those carefree moments. Listening to the song always transports me back to that space in time and I hope that feeling is palpable.”

‘No Quieres’ was written by Arum and was produced by Ben Esser (Izzy Bizu, Jordan Rakei, Portugal. The Man).

Drawing inspiration from a rich array of cultures, Arum Flowers is deeply involved with every element of the creative process, from production and songwriting to the visual aesthetic that accompanies her music. Her first spotlight moment came with two collaborations with TÂCHES, one of which, ‘Sofia’s Theme’, currently stands at 9.2 million streams at Spotify. Expect a ‘No Quieres’ visual to follow next week.
