BAD // DREEMS have released a new video for the track CANNONBALL, taken from their album DOOMSDAY BALLET, released by BMG in October 2019. Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPGZhr2-mGg&feature=youtu.be

The original version of Cannonball was more along the lines of a Jesus and Mary Chain song,” explain the band about the song. “The key to how it ended up how it did was Burke Reid [producer] coming up with the very counterintuitive groove. We recall we were also listening to Prince’s Purple Rain as a reference in the studio, for what it’s worth. What a masterpiece that song is! Ben then knocked out the clip in a few hours with long-time collaborator Tom Stevens in the iconic and much-loved Bakehouse rehearsal studios in Melbourne.”

The band toured the UK and Europe in late 2019 with fellow Australians The Chats and now embark on a headline UK tour, full dates as below.

BAD // DREEMS released DOOMSDAY BALLET in October 2019 via BMG / Farmer and The Owl to enormous critical praise, including an Australian Music Prize nomination, constant support from KEXP Radio in the USA, countless plays at college radio stations, a full album feature on triple j Radio in Australia and, as if this wasn’t enough, a sold out Australian album tour.

Championed by the likes of Robert Forster [The Go-Betweens], The Avalanches, Mark Opitz and Midnight Oil, the band recently put on a fundraiser for the Bush Fire Relief appeal and raised over $200,000.

The band have toured extensively in Australia and abroad, appearing at Splendour in The Park and Laneway Festival, and supporting acts such as At the Drive-In, The Avalanches and Cold Chisel. Following their tour with The Chats, the band then returned home to round off a massive 2019 with performances at Best Night Ever on the Gold Coast and the National Falls Festival run.
